Reporting to the Product Support Manager, the Product Support Engineer will be primarily responsible for determining solutions for simulator faults. The primary goal is to ensure that simulator faults are translated into clear corrective actions. These corrective actions are often the development of the simulator software or hardware design. The product support engineer will produce the solution and ensure it is executed, occasionally doing the execution themselves.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to action requests from the customer support website or customer calls/emails
  • Provide feedback on product improvements based on field experience and customer data
  • Read technical drawings (e.g. mechanical assembly drawings and wiring diagrams)
  • Analyze, reproduce and troubleshoot customer faults
  • Prepare work packages for the engineering team to correct simulator faults
  • Integrate engineering fixes into Customer’s Simulation software 
  • Manage obsolescence and develop replacements as required
  • Calculate MTBF values and develop recommended spares lists
  • Other tasks that fall within applicant’s skills and abilities
  • Support the creation of technical documentation for both customers and internal staff.





Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelors in Engineering degree (mechanical, electrical or equivalent); plus 3-5 years of applicable experience
  • Experience in Hardware and Software Integration 
  • Knowledge of Aircraft Systems
  • Knowledge of C++ programming
  • Effective problem solving skills
  • Experience in troubleshooting
  • Dedicated, highly organized and meticulous
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Knowledge of Microsoft suite 
  • Fluent in English and French (spoken and written) 
  • Good Communication skills
  • Ability to travel occasionally
