About the role:

As Component Tester, the candidate will test the Onboard application software for the European Train Control System (ETCS) primarily for the Automatic Train Protection (ATP) system. Onboard SW is expected to fulfil high Reliability, Availability, Maintainability & Safety (RAMS) requirements for automatic train protection & operation.

The ATP is deployed in the train to ensure safe operation by monitoring the train’s speed & target points based on information received from the train & trackside systems and is developed with the highest safety standards specified for ERTMS & ETCS systems according to the CENELEC norms and UNISIG standard.

The right candidate for this position will, as member of a cross functional team, be responsible for the SW Component testing, ensuring quality and contributing to continuous improvements.

Development Center Delhi (DCD) is one of RCS’s Onboard competence centers together with Stockholm & Mannheim where teams of experienced engineers strive towards delivering world class solutions to mainline projects & high-speed trains around the globe.

Our R&D department is responsible for developing Generic Products & Applications which aim to be the best solution on the market matching customer needs.

Our Agile Teams work according to the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), to deliver the maximum possible quality to ensure both product safety and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide valuable and responsive feedback on SW quality to the team
• Create & perform SW Component tests
• Maintain Component test documentation


Qualifications & Experience :

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics or other equivalent Engineering discipline
• At least 3 years working experience as Component Tester
• Experience in working with safety critical application will be considered a plus
• Excellent understanding of Object-Oriented programming language, like C++
• Knowledge of Vector CAST, CM Synergy, DOORS desired. Excellent communication skills in English
