We are seeking applications from experienced Signalling Engineers to join our team in Melbourne, Victoria. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will have proven experience in signalling design, and related activities.

Provision of technical support to the functions for requirements management, systems architecture, sub-systems, technical interfaces with other projects, interface control documents, development of technical papers, risk identification and mitigation, and have an appreciation of change management and systems and safety assurance processes.

Your key responsibilities will include the following:

- Support the design team to produce signalling designs in accordance with railway standards and quality processes

- Reviewing and checking designs

- Assisting in testing and preparation for commissioning

- Provide technical knowledge and experience into the Engineering team to progress the project and participate in internal reviews and deliverables

- Develop a level of understanding of the CBTC systems within Melbourne. Become conversant with the Bombardier CBTC products


It is expected you will have the following qualifications, experience and personal characteristics:

- Bachelor of Engineering in a relevant discipline
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in railway signalling design
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of signalling design, check and review processes

- Current Statements of Competency for Australian RTOs with logbooks to demonstrate competency. Current MTM competencies are highly desirable

- Graduate Certificate or Diploma in Railway Signalling is preferable

- Membership to relevant professional institutions/professional peer bodies or working towards a credit for eligibility for membership

- Good communication skills with an ability to work in a team environment.
