Senior Manager, Digital Communications (1 year contract)

We are looking for a results-driven, strategic digital communications professional to join our Communications and Public Affairs group. Reporting to the Director, Internal and Digital Communications, the role will be focused on the development and execution of digital communication strategies that drive stakeholder engagement. This role requires a leader who embraces change, is perseverant and thrives in a fast-paced, challenging environment.

In your role, you will be responsible for:

- Leading a team of 4 digital communications professionals and overseeing content creation, website and social media management and media monitoring;
- Leading the execution of a creative social media and content strategy that supports Bombardier’s stakeholder relations priorities;
- Leading the refresh of with a view to delivering a communications tool that drives engagement with key stakeholders;
- creating project deliverables that meet or exceed the project’s objectives;
- managing stakeholder relationships across the organization;
- working closely with IT partners and external vendors to ensure successful project delivery;
- engaging all relevant stakeholders to secure buy in and ensure project success;
- successfully managing project changes, risks, issues and actions.

- Ensuring our approach to media monitoring and reporting proactively supports the needs of senior leaders across the organization, and empowers our communications teams to manage media relations effectively;
- Supporting crisis management from a digital perspective;
- Developing a strong measurement strategy that allows us to benchmark our digital strategies against our objectives and competitors;
- Ensuring every piece of content shared on our digital platforms reflects the Bombardier brand and tone of voice;
- Building trusted relationships with internal clients and an international network of communications professionals.

And you have:

- A bachelor’s degree;
- 5 to 8 years of digital communications experience;
- In-depth understanding of digital communications principles and practices;
- Strong leadership skills, and the desire to help members of your team grow and succeed;
- Experience with website management and social media;
- Expert knowledge of digital content creation tools, including Wordpress, Photoshop, online content syndication, SharePoint, Adobe Experience Manager, and Google Analytics;
- Demonstrated initiative as well as excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities;
- Experience dealing with large-scale change in a matrixed environment;
- Excellent spoken and written communications skills in English, and bilingualism and experience in an international corporate environment are an asset;
- Video creation experience is an asset.
