Middletown Engine Center has an exciting employment opportunity for a Quality Engineer supporting the NGPF PW1500G C-Series Podding Facility (PQUAD) and Final Assembly Line (FAL) at the Bombardier Airframe manufacturing site in Mirabel, Canada.
The selected candidate will support the PQUAD and FAL working in conjunction with onsite UTAS & PWC personnel and P&W Operations by serving as a focal point that works with Engineering, Customer Support, Procurement, and other functional disciplines to drive final delivery of propulsion systems to Bombardier Aerospace.

  • BA/BS degree in Business, Engineering, or other related field;
  • MS/MBA preferred;
  • Minimum 5 years of broad engineering or quality experience in the aerospace industry;
  • Travel requirements : 30% of time;
  • Engine Assembly and Test Experience Strongly desired;
  • Strong quality management system knowledge and familiarity quality plan compliance strongly desired;
  • Understand internal and external customer requirements with a high attention to detail in resolving findings;
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, experience with Kaizen events or experience with a continuous improvement program (ACE); Value Stream Mapping, 5S – Workplace Organization, Continuous Flow Manufacturing, Set-up Reduction, Total Productive Maintenance, Mistake Proofing, etc.;
  • Ability to understand and interpret engineering technical data, such as manufacturing or part drawings, to provide guidance to cross functional teams;
  • A working knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) &Transport Canada (TCCA) Regulations regulatory requirements or work experience with government regulatory agencies strongly desired;
  • Knowledge of aerospace quality standards including AS9100;
  • French & English spoken and written;
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • IT knowledge: MS Office and SAP;
  • Problem-solving skills and analytical skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to interface with all levels of management, external customers, and government agencies.
