We are currently looking to recruit a Product Family Marketing Manager in Vienna, Austria.
The Product Family Marketing Manager is defining the product strategy and supporting sales in the promotion of BT products to the customers. Principle responsibilities are to develop, coordinate and manage market and competitive intelligence at product family level including the following elements, Competitor, Customer & Market Intelligence for the benefit of BT within the Product Family for disclosure the Product Engine Team, Senior Management (BTLT), & Sales teams in each Region. Working with the Marketing network within BT and develop an integrated network and database of Product Information, Bombardier Products and Competitors. Help drive intelligence to a new level by means of ‘new techniques’ and innovative ways of information sharing.

Your Tasks

Define Product Strategy for the Product family long term roadmap and short term bids for the worldwide market
• Analyse market opportunity pipeline and customer requirements and demands
• Compare, benchmark product family performances versus competition
• Identify key product developments and technologies to catch up and overpass competition
• Integrate upstream marketing data, upstream technology and R&T data into one planning for products and bids
• Provide target costing based on target market pricing delivered by market intelligence and in collaboration with cost contributors and cost specialists (procurement, engineering, etc.)
• Provide performance target in close cooperation with sales on price, LCC, Maintenance, energy consumption and compliance level.
• Provide competitive estimates for cost, quality, performance and time
• Drive the bid strategy together with sales based on product platform strategy balanced with customer evaluation matrix
• Identify Unique Selling Points of the product in comparison to BT`s competitors and the specific customer requirements
• Product book, product data sheets, PF standard presentation and promotion material

Collaborate with internal / external experts
• Interface with the Sales Team in any specific country a market opportunity may exist
• Act as a link between the Sales Team and the Bid Organisation, work closely with the product engine team to identify best fit platform and relevant optimization where required
• Train, coach and advice sales with product knowledge
• Support on trade fairs
• He/She must strive as part of the PE to develop the marketing network within the company. In particular, the drive to understand the requirements of our Customers better and be more effective in translating Customer requirements into solutions that deliver competitive advantage.
• Support development of mobility solutions
• Act as a link between the Sales Team and the Bid Organisation, work closely with the product engine engineering team to identify best fit solutions and relevant optimization where required.
• Coordinate interfaces with engineering experts in line organization
• Contribute to the governance process by participating to gate reviews, sales review… as per BT process and provide relevant Marketing inputs to these reviews

Feedback market developments for Standardization
• Verify product developments with regards to customer needs
• Identify competitor product development
• Detecting Market trends and drive them into the PF/PE
• Gather deep knowledge on competitive landscape and product intelligence. Use BT tools to ease storage, sharing and benchmarking

Put in place the following KPI (non exhaustive list) and report results on a monthly basis
• Order intake
• Market share
• Hit rate
• Profitability

Qualifikationen

• Min 10 years of experience in engineering, procurement, technical sales or strategy
• Previous experience in the rail industry (ideally), alternatively other industrial goods can be considered
• Knowledge of public procurement industry, project industry & investment industry, ideally rail industry
• Be able to understand different financial aspects
• Ability to develop effective relationships and understand how other functions impact the product family
• Solid English proficiency level in communications, German is an asset
• Excellent communication skills
• Able to work across multiple functions worldwide within a complex organization
