Description

Based in St. Bruno, Quebec, you will be responsible for supporting Bombardier Transportation’s Integrated Management System (IMS) and implementation and maintenance of Achieving Excellence System (AES), the Bombardier’s way to manage performance in all business segments and continuous improvement activities related.

You will a member of the Bid Core Team and the interface between Procurement and Supply Chain (PSC) and Bid Management, you will report to the Product Procurement Manager (PdPM) and you will be responsible for coordinating the PSC activities for your dedicated product / bid until Gate 0.

For your product / bid, you will be responsible for: establish a product baseline (generic cBom and PSC strategy) during product development in support of the PdPM (offcycle), defining and optimizing third party material costs at product level (CBOM evolution and cost reduction roadmap (off and oncycle), prepare deliverables along the negative gates, deliver PSC inputs into the bid, obtaine Procurement management approval for PSC input to bid, hand over the PSC scope to the respective Project Procurement Manager (PPM) after Notification To Proceed (NTP).

In your role you will:

- Mobilise the PSC organisation to define the product baseline in support of the PdPM;
- Establish the PSC strategy document with the selected building blocks, agreed sourcing strategies, selected suppliers, supplier maturity index etc;
- Develop the initial product cost structure through costing of building blocks. Further detail and precise the product costs by developing an ebom based generic cBom.
- Work out cost reduction ideas together with commodity management, develop a cost reduction roadmap to continuously improve product cost and cBom;
- Based on the product PSC strategy and generic Product cBOM, be responsible to conduct a delta analysis between Product Definition (PSC/cBom) and Bid requirements (customer requirements/Invitation To Tender) to identify deviations;
- In case of deviations, be responsible to assess the impacts on the PSC deliverables and feed the back to the PdPM / into the bid core team;
- Be responsible for preparing the PSC Inputs along the negative gates;
- Be responsible – together with the PdPM - for representing PSC in BT Gate Review Process and in PSC bid related governance processes;
- Upon receipt of the NTP, you will be responsible to transfer the PSC as-sold inputs to the nominated PPM.

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate:

- You hold an engineering degree or commercial degree with technical background, complemented by a demonstrated track record of success;
- You have two (2) to five (5) years of experience in Procurement;
- You own knowledge of Bombardier Transportation procurement processes and tools;
- You have strong exposure/experience to Project Management or Finance;
- You possess solid technical knowledge of building blocks, related cost drivers, supply base and improvement levers;
- You have a solid knowledge of Life cycle material cost/Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) approach;
- You own a solid level in Microsoft Office Applications and E-mail application;
- You possess a solid working knowledge in ERP systems, eProcurement tools and Web-Browser;
- You have excellent English and French communication skills, both written and spoken.
