Material Supply Advisor


The Material Supply Advisor is responsible to deploy and monitor supply chain processes within regions, to pro-actively manage the material coverage and inventory to meet the defined on-time and on-quality material delivery objectives in production or aftermarket. The Material Supply Expert is the first level of escalation to solve process issues and continually improve the supply chain process, including monitoring and taking the necessary corrective and preventive actions, as well as considering potential for automation of specific tasks or activities of the supply chain process.


Support Operational Teams, Ensure Compliance and Lead Continuous Improvements on:

Parts Availability Management

- Communicating Material delivery needs to the suppliers, ensuring on-time delivery (OTD) of parts. He may be involved in re-adjusting the purchase orders/scheduling agreements in case of changing demands. He places repair purchase orders in case of damaged material.

- Managing re-order parameters and inventory levels on ERP system

- Monitors the OTD performance of the suppliers and participates into charge back process. He is managing, optimizing and reporting on inventory level.

MRP Master data set up (procurement and logistics views);

- Analyze and validate purchase requisitions in line with production planning;

- Manage and control delivery schedules;

- Manage OTD expedite materials proactively and ensure timely return of non-conformity goods.

Material Inventory Management

- Set initial and maintain accurate master data parameters such as reorder points, lead time, etc... to ensure parts supply service levels are achieved;

- Manage suppliers and take necessary actions to minimize inventory level, whether in terms of Material In Store (MIS) and Coverage In Days (CID);

- Report store inventory deviations;

- Support the review of inventory levels and identify opportunities for removing / reducing the level of obsolete / excess stock.

Supplier Management

- Contribute to monitoring supplier performance using on-time and on-quality delivery KPIs;

- Escalate performance and commercial issues, in a timely manner, which require BT management support;


- Engineering Degree, Business or SS Chain

- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience into a complex supply chain function;

-Those with relevant experience as Logistics and Supply Chain and Transition managers are encouraged to apply.

- Relevant experience with heavy engineering industry would be an added plus

- Experience in managing a team would be expected

- Continuous Improvement / Six Sigma black belt or equivalent Certification;

- Expertise in ERP techniques and supplier collaboration tools, expertise in logistics / supply

chain and Lean Manufacturing principles, experience in large scope Supply Chain Continuous

Improvement projects;

- Solid procurement and production knowledge to work as interface between functions within the supply chain, including stakeholders (internal suppliers/functions and external suppliers);

- Strong leadership skills to lead large scale supply chain improvement projects (cross-countries);

- Financial Knowledge (Invoices, Inventory / Cash Management, etc.);

- Strong Negotiation/Influencing skills, Advanced Communication and presentation skills in English, Spanish and French.

- Some travelling is to be expected initially

- Must be willing to work in Cebu city
