The Control Systems Engineer will be responsible to define, validate and certify the gas turbine engine control systems for gas turbine engines. As a Controls Engineer, the successful incumbent will develop system level requirements for engine controls. During the engine/aircraft concept phase, he/she will work with aircraft manufacturers to develop control system functionality. He/she will work within an integrated product team to match control system functionality against the engine and aircraft requirements. The successful incumbent will understand power plant dynamics and DO-178B process as he/she prepares the evidence to support the engine type certificate. He/she will also work closely with suppliers to validate software, and review data for control system tests performed on simulatiors,

The ideal candidates must have a degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace); combined with 5 to 15 years of experience in controls systems engineering or working with gas turbine engines, depending on the position. Relevant experience in gas turbine, aircraft or automotive control systems as well as knowledge of dual channel FADEC would be considered an asset. An understanding of aerospace software DO-178B is required, and knowledge of DO-254 firmware is considered desirable.
