About the role:

Bombardier Transportation’s Rolling Stock Product Engine (PRS) sites are located where most of the key product competencies and capabilities are and centered close to core markets to understand demand. You will be working closely with the PRS Global Leadership team to provide integrated, aligned and standardized planning, tools and governance across all products and engineering activities. You will build strong relationships with the Rolling Stock Equipment and Rail Control Solutions groups.

The role sits within the Global Management Office who has for accountability planning, performance, governance, processes, tools, capabilities and transformation of Engineering (ENG), Global Product Development (GPD) and Product Engines

Together with your team you will lead the performance group, setting the strategy, implementation and maintenance of the management information system. This is a truly global role having to deliver a complex operating system.

The role has the ultimate goal to provide the a single source of truth – having the right information, in the right format, at the right time used by the right people to make effective and efficient business decisions.

Key responsibilities:
• Lead the PRS design and deployment of a management information system this includes:
• Business Strategy and objective cascade at all levels
• KPI standardisation
• Development of a standard diary
• Standard reporting
• Information system and Data automation and standardisation
• Lead the develop of a tiered visual management system and deploy globally
• Lead the development and deployment of the PRS KPIs standard governance and reporting
• Develop and support the Product Family teams to implement and standardize the new way of working with respect to performance management and monitor and control.
• Develop a coaching culture focusing on problem solving and continuous improvement. Where most systems fail is the lack of problem solving once an issue is identified. This is key to driving performance and accountability.

Qualifications

• Understanding and experience with setting up a management information system and visualisation.
• Experience in defining and supporting process improvement with respect to quality, cost, time and risk management for large and complex projects
• Experience operating at a global level
• Influencing a large number of stakeholders
• Project management
• System thinking
• Problem solving and lean
• Experience in shaping and coaching behaviours and processes for large organizations
