The Component Service Delivery Optimization Manager is responsible to develop and implement operational processes and tools to provide component maintenance services that achieve operational objectives such as component availability through existing commercial relationships with third party vendors, including management of all service orders. Additionally, this position is responsible to implement projects within the business and support improvement initiatives.

  • Define and develop scenarios to provide recommendations to drive operational efficiencies resulting in cost reductions across all Vendor Account Management functions and lead the implementation with all stockholders (i.e. Vendors, Account Mgrs, LM, Engineering, Finance, etc.) 
  • Responsible for identifying and coordinating savings initiatives for Component Maintenance
  • Communicate and analyze data trends to facilitate root cause investigations to improve vendor management function.
  • Proactively monitor maintenance programs and identify opportunities for improved decision making and work closely with the Contract Manager and Strategic Sourcing to implement commercial contract changes.
  • Establish process cycle times, rebalance work flow and distribution activities to optimize service delivery
  • Lead and coordinate Component BU budget forecast preparation working with all stockholders (i.e. Engineering, Operations, Logistics, Vendor Mgrs, Finance, etc.) including Long Range Plan and Outlook activities.
  • Liaise with ACM BFO for financial reporting and forecasting for Budgeting improvements.
  • Responsible for identifying and creating business cases to support BU initiatives, including the creation of eAFCs along with all supporting documentation.
  • Responsible to oversee implementation and compliance of Components Maintenance Purchase and Payment 52-109 (Sarbane Oxley) policy.
  • Effectively manage Service Orders for Component Maintenance (i.e. accuracy, receipt, pricing, payment authorization, etc.) in line with procurement policy (52-109).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Commerce or Finance or Business Management
  • Component repair chain management experience in an aerospace environment an asset 
  • Extensive proficiency in financial modeling and data analytics
  • Familiar with operational impact and legal aspects of Cost control measures and their application
  • Sound technical and working knowledge of processes, procedures and Information Technology systems relative to ACM
  • Understanding of component vendor management, process & procedures
  • Experienced working with lean programs (Six Sigma) or continuous improvement initiatives an asset.
  • The candidates must be quality-oriented, focused on continuous improvement and goal achievement while having strong analytical and summarization skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication and facilitation skills in a work group;
  • Extensive proficiency in PC and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) 
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Ability to solve problems;
  • Strong communication skills; written and verbal
  • Ability to facilitate change management.
  • Results driven
