Customer Service Specialist

We are actively looking for a motivated Customer Service Specialist to join our dynamic team. We welcome applicants with valuable professional experience in providing support to aviation clients with their requests for repairs and component maintenance. 

Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, the Customer Service Specialist will work as part of a team responsible to prepare quotes for clients’ approval based on the work assessment of technicians. The process includes building quotes, coordinating amongst different departments, adjusting pricing within defined boundaries, and ensuring time constraints are respected. The ideal candidate must be customer service oriented, as the goal is to provide quality service at a competitive cost.

Principal responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between customers and as the interface with relevant operations departments.
  • Field customers’ questions regarding units at any stage in the repair process and provide regular status updates.
  • Thoroughly review teardown/inspection reports to prepare and submit quotes to customers within established timeframes.
  • Identify, capture, and escalate all profits generating opportunities and/or issues (i.e. deviations from contract, CID, outof-scope, PMA options, etc.)
  • Analyse market dynamic resources to determine BER thresholds, FMV, fixed price, exclusions and historical invoicing to maximize profit margins.
  • Ensure the ERP is updated with customer quote approval status
  • Proactively monitor work progress reports throughout the repair process to identify missed opportunities or potential delays in order to meet established targets.
  • Any other reasonable and appropriate tasks as requested by the management team in order to meet the needs of the business.

Compétences

Job requirements:

  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience in a similar role and industry.
  • Very strong analytical skills coupled with keen attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Selfmotivated, team player with drive to succeed
  • Strong negotiation skills to contain costs and improve efficiency
  • Product knowledge of the repair requirements of aeronautical products is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is key, with particular focus on Ms Excel. Experience with an ERP system; Quantum would be an asset.
  • The ability to fluently communicate in English and French is required. Similar ability in other languages is a valuable advantage.
